Jeff Regan, Investigator came up to CBS Radio on July 10, 1948, with Jeff Regan as a tough private eye doing work for a detective firm run by Anthony J. Lyon. Regan released himself on each show with: "I get 10 per day and expenses. They call me the Lyon's Eye." Lyon, portrayed by Wilms Herbert, ran the International Detective Bureau, a small private investigations firm in downtown Los Angeles, with often large ambitions. Regan dealt with rough projects from Lyon, with whom he was not always on good conditions. Actor Jack port Webb performed Regan as tough and tenacious, with a dry out love of life. The series ended when Webb kept the show in Dec 1948, but was resurrected in Oct 1949 with a new cast. Frank Graham starred as Jeff Regan, and Frank Nelson portrayed his boss, Anthony J. Lyon. This version lasted until August of 1950.
