Robin Williams was an American acting professional and comedian. Starting as a stand-up comedian in SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA and Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, he's credited with leading San Francisco's funny renaissance. After increasing to fame as Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy (1978-82), he went on to establish a job in both stand-up funny and feature film behaving. He was known for his improvisational skills. After his film debut in the musical funny Popeye (1980), he starred or co-starred in greatly acclaimed films, including the comedy-drama The World Matching to Garp (1982), warfare comedy Good Morning hours, Vietnam (1987), dramas Deceased Poets Society (1989) and Awakenings (1990), comedy-drama The Fisher King (1991), the animated musical-fantasy Aladdin (1992), episode Good Will Hunting (1997), and subconscious thriller One Hour Photography (2002), as well as financial successes like the fantasy excursion film Hook (1991), funny Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), illusion excursion Jumanji (1995), funny The Birdcage (1996), and the night time at the Museum trilogy. In 1998, Williams received the Academy Award for Best Helping Professional for his performance as Dr. Sean Maguire in Good Will Hunting. In addition, Williams was nominated thrice in the Best Professional for his performances in Good Morning hours, Vietnam, Deceased Poets Society, and The Fisher King. He also received two Primetime Emmy Honours, six Golden World Awards, two Display Actors Guild Honours, and four Grammy Honours throughout his profession, and was inducted as a Disney Story in '09 2009.
