A Stolen Life is a memoir by Jaycee Dugard, who was simply kidnapped at age group 11 and held captive in a concealed backyard compound in Antioch, California, for 18 years. On June 10, 1991, in a little community near Lake Tahoe, a weird car approaches Jaycee as she is walking to the school bus. A man reaches out of the screen, zaps Jaycee with a stun firearm, and forces her in to the back chair. He covers her with a blanket and she quickly loses awareness. Upon waking at the man's house, Jaycee is compelled inside where in fact the man instructs her to take a shower. Inside the bathtub, he shaves Jaycee's underarm, calf, and pubic wild hair, and wraps her in a towel. The person leads Jaycee across his garden by using a gate and into a little, invisible room.
