About the writer: Montague Rhodes Wayne (1862-1936) became one of Britain's main medieval scholars, studying and educating a King's School, Cambridge. However, it isn't his scholarly works or successes that he is most widely known for today. His first collection, Ghost Tales of any Antiquary, was printed in 1904. A further three volumes implemented: More Ghost Tales (1911), A Thin Ghost and Other (1919) and A Alert to the Curious and also other Ghost Tales (1925). Following an English traditions, lots of the 30 tales were made into Christmas Eve entertainments and were advised to friends and acquaintances.
