Scientology is a body of spiritual beliefs and tactics created in 1954 by American creator L. Ron Hubbard (1911-86). After he developed Dianetics, the Dianetics Groundwork entered individual bankruptcy and Hubbard lost the protection under the law to his seminal publication Dianetics: THE PRESENT DAY Knowledge of Mental Health in 1952. Then re-characterized the subject as a religion and renamed it Scientology, retaining the terminology, doctrines, the E-meter, and the practice of auditing. In just a season, he regained the protection under the law to Dianetics and retained both subject matter under the umbrella of the Church of Scientology. Hubbard's categories have encountered considerable opposition and controversy. In January 1951, the brand new Jersey Board of Medical Examiners helped bring proceedings against Hubbard's Dianetics Groundwork on the fee of teaching medication without a certificate. Hubbard's followers employed in an application of covert and illegitimate infiltration of the government. Hubbard-inspired organizations and their classification are often a spot of contention. Germany classifies Scientology categories as an "anti-constitutional sect" (verfassungsfeindliche Sekte). In France, Scientology categories have been grouped as a cult by some general population authorities.
