You can tell yourself there's no such thing as ghosts, at least until you meet one face-to-face. Then it becomes a matter of convincing yourself that you will be not witnessing what you think you are witnessing. If you are actually Jake, a barely school age group child who awakens one nights to find an elongated abomination in feminine form floating by his bedside, there is no amount of daylight or parental soothing that can influence you that ghosts aren't real. The apparition arrives at a crucial time in Jake's family life. He's beginning to notice that his mommy and his daddy aren't getting along the way they once have. Daddy seems especially stressed about his job at a healthcare facility. In turn, that stress seems to be making him exhausted and practically always irritable. Finally, his new visitor, the beginning of the school year, and the strain between his parents start to take their toll. As a result, he decides to search for a way to clear himself of at least one of his triad of problems. His schooling is required for legal reasons.
