"Child of man, because Tyre said involving Jerusalem 'Aha, the gate of the individuals is broken; it has swung available to me. I shall be replenished, now that she actually is laid waste materials,' therefore thus says god, the father God: Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring up many countries against you, as the sea brings up its waves. They shall destroy the walls of Tyre and break down her towers....And she shall become plunder for the countries, and her daughters on the mainland will be wiped out by the sword. Then they will know that we am god, the father." - Booklet of Ezekiel 26: 1-14 Over the eastern Mediterranean there has been discovered a great number of things whose appearance or materials are extraneous to local cultures, whether it was an Egyptian amulet in Greece, a Greek vase in Africa, or a large number of weird amulets in Gibraltar. The remains are data that a large amount of goods was once migrated from one land to another, systematically transported and traded over the Mediterranean by the historic commercial network of the Phoenicians. From the 13th hundred years BCE, and prolonged for greater than a millennium, this civilization dominated the most important body of water recognized to the ancients. With the formidable ships and skills in trading, they made a name for themselves by trading between Egypt, Greece, Rome, Carthage, Sardinia, Spain, and finally all the way to the Atlantic Sea, creating themselves as the undisputed lords of the sea. A network of this size, with a huge selection of colonies and a large number of ships, had to be well coordinated, and it was because of important cities along the Mediterranean coast. Perhaps one of the most crucial locations in the machine was hidden beneath the Greek, Roman, and Crusader ruins of Lebanon: the historic city of Tyre.
