Lazarus and Y'shuah (Jesus' Hebrew name) develop up like brothers in the hills of Galilee. Both apprentice to their fathers as contractors and carpenters until tragedy pushes them to support their own families. Lazarus won't believe his good friend may be the Messiah of the Jews. He moves with his sisters to Judea and works alone until he suffers a crippling accident. His sisters learn that Y'shuah has become known in Galilee as a healer and tutor, so they summon him. Lazarus suffers an agonizing death. Four times later he hears his friend's speech calling him to come out of the tomb. His resurrection makes Lazarus a designated man. He's sentenced to die by the Sanhedrin Courtroom for talking about the miracle, but is offered a reprieve if he'll keep silent. Lazarus perceives Jesus crucified and in desperation flees to Galilee, where he's captured with a ruthless man-hunter.
