Harriet Tubman was an uncommonly fearless person who, on several events, put her life at risk to re-enter slave territory, and later, to assist the Union military in the American Civil War. She was the first dark girl to lead an assault in the warfare. After the warfare, she dedicated herself to the cause of women's suffrage. She used hardly any money she manufactured in some of her efforts to help those less lucky than herself, despite the fact that this caused her to live on a life of poverty.
