During Prohibition a shamed wrestler called Butch "The Butcher" Cardinal is framed for murder and consequently hunted by the cops, the mob, and a strange cabal who are eager to acquire a taken trinket that may very well be as marvelous as the men promise. Through the frame-up Butch came into possession of the piece and the cabal will do whatever they can - including murder - to get their hands on the thing. Butch travels right down to New Orleans for taking shelter with another old wrestler and their camaraderie deepens to something much more serious before all hell breaks loose.
