"In all honesty, I was a bit surprised. Yes, I visit a different side of you. Often I laughed aloud; in between I got abruptly silent, too, and my heart and soul was attached by the words you published." - Marian Orton I published these poems during the five-day routine of the "harvest moon," Sept 2016. I walked out into my front yard during its waxing stage, as I often do to view the entire moon, which always arises on that side of my house, because I find it so invigoratingly beautiful. It had been such a specific night, the moon so big and dazzling, it just kind of hijacked my mind, which it organised captive for the period. I published this group of poems daily, long, languorous, loopy poems, as you will notice when you can them, like nothing at all I've ever before written before. Often I laughed aloud; in between I got abruptly silent, too, and my heart and soul was attached by the words I published. Paul Kameen is the writer of Writing/Coaching and Re-reading Poets (scholarly books); This Semester (personal essays); several series of poems (Harvest Moon, In the Dark, and Li Po-ems); and numerous essays.
