NYPD Detective Sam Archer is on his way home on a Sunday day in New York City. He's been from the field for over three months but has just been cleared to come back to duty. Seated on a bench in top of the West Area, Archer views something totally unforeseen. Two men are crossing the street in front of him, going quickly toward another group climbing into an automobile. All are greatly armed, and everything hell breaks loose as a ferocious gunfight erupts, shattering the peaceful day. Archer and the ambushed group are obligated to flee uptown in the strangers' vehicle where they take refuge in a Harlem tenement block, located in one of the very most dangerous areas in the city. On their pumps even while, the ambushers seal off the building. Archer and the others are captured inside. Piecing mutually the situation, Archer determines that individuals he's with are US marshals guarding a witness, a seven-year-old female. Someone is desperate to wipe out her. But what he doesn't know is the fact that others are on the way to the building, ruthless trained killers who won't leave before girl is dead. There's only 1 way in or from the building. And it appears there's only 1 way this may end.
