William Fryer Harvey (1885-1937) was an English writer of short stories, especially in the mystery and horror styles, in which a lot of his works are named masterpieces of the genre. Neglect Cornelius is one of W. F. Harvey's most acclaimed works. Older people spinster, Neglect Cornelius is apparently the cause of a variety of peculiar supernatural phenomena which can be troubling the home where she actually is temporarily lodging. However when Andrew Saxon, an area schoolmaster, accuses her of being behind the mystical haunting she becomes on him with a terrifying curse. Third , the target of the peculiar and terrifying phenomena mysteriously shifts to the Saxon home...and worse still, it seems as if the awful powers have moved from Neglect Cornelius to Saxon's beloved partner, Molly. As so often with W. F. Harvey's works, there's a terrible and incredible twist at the end of the storyplot.
