Tyler Matthews is in need of change. Sick of his life and suffering from alcoholism, he makes the decision to divorce his partner, sell everything he is the owner of and travel the earth to attempt to find concentrate and rid himself of his addiction. Eventually arriving on the sun drenched shores of Australia and still suffering from his demons, he has put in all his cost savings which is facing the prospect of having to return to his old life. It is here that he satisfies two men with an outlandish tale about a horde of sunken medication money in an area known as the Devil's Triangle - Australia's response to its Bermuda namesake and reported to be the lair of any terrifying monster of the deep. Offered a share of the lot of money if he helps get it, Tyler agrees to go with the men to the positioning, skeptical and thinking only of prolonging his quest of self-discovery. He will learn, however, that this particular urban star is real, and they encounter a giant of the seas, the recently regarded as extinct Megalodon making its home within the area of the Devil's triangle. Barely escaping with their lives, the three men clean up on an isolated island - no more than a rocky outcrop without vegetation, fresh water of food options. As desperation to endure intensifies, horrifying decisions will be made that will demonstrate how man may also be the most violent predator on the planet and when left without option can do anything, even the unthinkable, in order to survive.
