Slim is a boy whose astronomer dad is visiting the united states estate of an important industrialist. The industrialist's son, Red, has found two odd pets, and he enlists Slim in a plan to turn the pets into a circus work. The astronomer, on the other hand, says the industrialist that he has been around connection with space aliens who wish to open up their world to interstellar trade. Their world needs help, the astronomer says; ever since the atomic wars that ruined their old civilization, their world has been regressing. Unless something is performed, their culture may face total collapse. "Junior" by Isaac Asimov, first appeared in the May 1952 issue of Space Technology Fiction and was reprinted in the 1955 collection The Martian Way and also other Tales. "Junior" is one of the uncommon Asimov experiences with alien individuals.
