Dunphy and Grimmett are create by absent and naive parents in a set above a brothel. Their ventures take them from poaching trout to gaming dens and a clean with the law. Two of their friends die through suicide, and since an indirect consequence of one of those deaths, Grimmett starts to learn about love.
