Kapuri, the she-elephant, noticed that a fresh dog, or somewhat, a fresh dam, had come into the temple premises. There have been, of course, two canines residing there already, Kalu and Sudu. Once the new dam strolled in, somewhat timidly initially, Kapuri noticed that Sudu became greatly agitated. She growled and snarled and barked to no end at the newcomer, regardless of the latter's delicate demeanour, and even tried to attack her.
