As we brain toward your kitchen, the monk notices a light outside one of the cabins. "Who's cabin six? Your outdoor light is on. This is exactly what happens when you are not mindful!" he scolds. I try looking in the direction he is pointing. My heart drops. It's my room! But how? Where is the turn? Then, I realize it's the turn inside I used earlier. In my own limited point out of discovering, I only noticed the lamps in the area. Little have I think that my activities were affecting something outside of the area! "It's my room." Cheeks using with shame, I take the walk of shame to my room to carefully turn from the light. Once we undertake life we never fully know who or what our activities are affecting. We only see from our very own perspective. Exactly like me not discovering the light outside of my room even though my activities transformed it on. I believe it's important to remember that even if what we do in life seems mundane or foolish, it continues to be affecting the larger picture.
