Narrator Tadhg Hynes: "I first decided to record Ulysses in Oct 2015. Little performed I understand then what an remarkable 1 . 5 years lay ahead. Having already registered Dubliners and Family portrait (and being terrified of Ulysses), I decided to give myself per year just to read it. However, after about four episodes I started saving it and became hooked. "Being a Dubliner and having the privilege of walking the webpages of this reserve daily, it became a world that assimilated me totally. Just about everywhere I travelled in Dublin, Joyce was there. I kept sounding phrases from the reserve in real life. I was born in Holles St. Clinic some 60 years following the Oxen of sunlight episode was set there. While the location has transferred with the changing times, it's still inescapable to receive the sense of Joyce's Dublin nonetheless. "Some elements of the reserve are more challenging than others, but I came across that every term got its place, and with a lttle bit of effort and research it came up to life. Don't be put off by its reputation. You don't need a college or university degree (though some like to feel that one does!). From the book for everyone, and as you feel familiar with just how Joyce creates, this becomes noticeable. "I've tried to draw out the Dublin wit and the unique terms of its people, and I am hoping that this adds to the enjoyment of the great book. "I'd like to add a special note of thanks a lot and admiration to the beautiful reading of Molly Bloom's soliloquy, given by Kayleigh Payne. Famed because of its lack of punctuation and rambling mother nature, this iconic piece of writing is superbly interpreted and sensitively portrayed. Kayleigh's work has taken a new dimensions to the tracking, and I am eternally grateful."
