Coin Block Chronicles is a memoir that paints an image of Britain in the 1930s and 1940s, as seen although eyes of 1 for whom it was the background of her years as a child. The story is defined around Coin Block, on the south lender of the River Thames. The area is currently a cultural show off known as The South Standard bank, but was then a gritty, Cockney-like nook of London. Tales of its colourful personas are woven throughout the narrative as they manage first with the poverty of the Depressive disorder years and then with World Battle II and its aftermath in the 1940s.
