A modern Sherlock Holmes, the eccentric Bernie Quist is a consultant detective in the town of York. Christmas is days and nights away, and once again, the reclusive sleuth will be quietly celebrating only. His associate Watson, a teenager from the Grimpen real estate estate, has other ideas, typically involving parties, young girls, and beverage. Yuletide strategies are halted when three chemists pass away and the fiance of one hires these to consider her apparent suicide.
