Dan Abatangelo and Shel Beaudry are two 'for life' addicts, whose activities as the previous of the indie 'gentleman' marijuana smugglers ('no assault - it's all about the money') come to an abrupt end using their arrest in Las Vegas. Succumbing to a weakness for 'strays' she becomes the only real caregiver of Frank Maas, a psychologically scarred and unpredictable loner on the fringes of a crime band operating in the delta. With Dan's release from prison imminent, Frank blueprints a quick, sick- conceived rating, hoping with profit hands to persuade Shel to vanish with him. The plan backfires miserably, and Frank, Shel and Dan are swept up in an inferno they cannot hope to endure.
