Elizabeth Gaskell is equally well known as Mrs Gaskell. When her mom passed away, she was 90 days old and she was sent to live in Knutsford, Cheshire with her Aunt Hannah, this setting up would become the basis for her book Cranford. At 22 she married and resolved in Manchester to improve her family. Friends with Charlotte Bronte she went on to create her biography and was also highly regarded with a certain Charles Dickens who shared her ghost reviews in his journal.
