Download The Poetry of Lord Byron, Volume IX: Hebrew Melodies and Other Poems AudioBook Free
This level of Lord Byron's poetry has four models of his poems, you start with his famous booklet of poetry, Hebrew Melodies, and continuing with the Poems of the Parting, poetry he composed in the period 1816-1823, his "Jeux d'Esprit", and several poems written in homage to the great poets of Italy. Hebrew Melodies is a assortment of lyrics Byron composed to be set to music, as indeed these were, by way of a composer named Isaac Nathan. Byron composed that the set in place was influenced by Jewish sacred music, but he will not seem to have taken that altogether critically, as three of the set in place are simply just love songs without sacred aspect to them whatsoever. One of those, "She Strolls in Beauty", is very justly one of Byron's most famous poems.
