Emily Elizabeth Dickinson was created in 1830 in Amherst Massachusetts. Rightly regarded as a major American poet, her life was sheltered, introverted, and reclusive. Despite writing over 1800 poems, only twelve or so were posted during her life span. Her buildings and wordings are at times difficult to get to grips with, though recurring themes of religious beliefs and death certainly shadow a lot of her works. At her death is 1886, it is likely her work may have been lost got it not been for a publication by her sister. Indeed it was only in the 1950s a complete and unedited assortment of her works was posted. Within the ensuing half hundred years she has steadily climbed in to the pantheon of Greats.
