Stone Arabia tells the storyline of a brother and sister, Nik and Denise, now in their 40s. The sister is the reluctant caregiver in the family, dealing with an ailing mom and single-parenting her 20-something child. The brother is a failed rock and roll musician. Instead of confront his lack of success head-on, Nik creates an extremely detailed imaginary world where his imaginary music group releases data; they're assessed; there's correspondence with "fans"; fawning press coverage; and much more. It's all very ornate, and slightly captivating; if also deranged. He actually makes the music, too, and dutifully sends off hand-crafted editions to his immediate friends and family. But he's winding down his main musical series - a set of CDs began at 20 and he's just released #1 - and his sister worries the worst....
