Predicated on "Travels in Western Africa" by Mary Kingsley, this is the account of the Victorian lady's journeys the rivers of Western Africa in the 1890s. Writer: Mary Kingsley was created in 1862. Her literature were popular, funny and contentious and her views on missionaries were trenchant. After submitting her first booklet Mary Kingsley returned to Western Africa. Through the Boer Conflict she worked in the armed forces nursing homes in South Africa where she died of typhus.
