The Fledgling administration has little esteem for these rugged frontiersmen. The bureaucrats think this remote control province across the mountains is good for only one thing - collecting fees - these poor, unlucky frontier families are not able to pay. More fear and anguish results from the brutal activities of the government who send soldiers and move the suspected "insurrectionists" out with their beds in the deceased of winter. Yet, through everything, the indefatigable Rev. John Corbly never loses trust, establishes many churches throughout Pa, and continues to evangelize until his dying breath.
