Dane and Mandy, a popular magic work for 40 years, are tragically segregated by a car wreck that cases Mandy's life-or so everyone believes. They get started a furtive romantic relationship as coach and protégée, but even as Dane attempts to straighten out who she really is, and she attempts to understand why she actually is drawn to him, they may be viewed by secretive passions who not only possess the answers to Mandy's capabilities and misplacement with time but also the roguish capability to decide exactly what will become of her. Frank Peretti has built a rich, rewarding story of love and life, loss and restoration, full of twists and unknown. Exceptionally well written, Illusion will soon establish another Peretti basic.
