Earl Hamner was created July 10, 1923 in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. He became a posted copy writer when he was six yrs . old. His mother posted a poem he had written to the Richmond Times Dispatch children's page and it was accepted! Today, 81 years later he looks back on the career which includes novels, feature films, short testimonies and tv set series. He's most widely known for creating the long term tv set series The Waltons. Don Sipes got a multifaceted career as a copy writer and producer in Hollywood, including stints as Chief executive of Universal Tv set, Chief executive and COO of MGM Film Company, Chairman and CEO of United Painters Corp., and Chief executive of Lorimar Distribution. In 1987 he shaped the Don Sipes Organization to produce 3rd party film and tv set assignments. He also wrote the novel The Last Look. With partner Earl Hamner, he wrote the novel Murder In Tinseltown and co-produced the series The McGregor Saga and The Ponder Heart and soul for Mobil Masterpiece Theatre. Alongside one another they've penned this captivating story of any singing goose and her escapades in and around Toulouse, France plus a whole web host of other dog friends.
