Maybe you were delivered to Christian parents and elevated as a Christian. Or maybe you are simply a part of your Christian nation. You might have attended cathedral regularly, or possibly just on special events. If asked, you say that you believe in God, nevertheless, you really never considered what that means exactly. You are a well-educated one who accepts the idea of Biblical wonders, but only the more "reasonable" ones. You have read a few of the Bible, usually just elements of the brand new Testament, but never committed to reading the Bible cover to hide. You are a good one who admires the many "Christian prices" as shown by Jesus Christ. But something does not feel right.

  • Research tells us that the world is 13.7 billion years of age, however the Bible tells us it's 6,000 years of age.
  • Science tells us life is the result of emergent properties in combined molecules, and we've evolved from an extremely primitive life form, however the Bible says that God made us, as is, from particles, and blew life in our noses.
  • You visit a world where little bunnies burn off to loss of life in forest fires, and think about just why an all-good and loving God would allow such a thing to occur.
  • You pray to God and you realize that sometimes your prayers are clarified, and sometimes they aren't - just as if you didn't pray in any way.
  • You listen to about other religions and think about why your religion is right and every other religion on earth is incorrect.
  • You have a real problem with the idea of all of your non-Jesus-believing relatives and buddies spending eternity in Hell.
In truth, the more you shop around, the more you visit a world absent of this perfect image of a perfect God. As much as you want to avoid critical thinking and "just release and have faith", you see that you cannot have confidence in something contrary to your logic and reason - no matter how much you want to. This might lead to feelings of guilt, insincerity, and/or hypocrisy. Yet you just can't visualize living life without God, and you don't have to. When you begin asking serious questions about God and religion, you get started to look out of the stories of men and women living inside the stomachs of big seafood, 900-year-old men, and physiques coming back to life after three days, and understand how man created God, rather than the other way around. By daring to question "sacred" religion, challenging your youth values, and risking eternal damnation (okay, so there might be a minor side effect to scanning this book), you will discover an gratitude for religion on a fresh level, as well as a renewed gratitude for the human race. Through a distinctive blend of science, philosophy, theology, and some humor, you will see ways to trust your logic and reason, be true to yourself, and accept God, much less a being, but as an idea - The Concept.
