Given to Zama, an Military clinic in Japan in September 1968, Glasser came as a pediatrician in the U.S. Military Medical Corps to look after the kids of officials and high-ranking government representatives. The hospital's main mission, however, was to aid the conflict and look after the wounded. At Zama, an average of six to eight thousand patients were taken care of per month, and the death and fighting were staggering. The soldiers counted their times by the distance of their travel - twelve months, or 365 times - and they knew, down to the day, how enough time they had left.
