Discrimination and racism has been around in America because the very early days of colonization. Yet, it would be another 189 years before Us citizens would be similar by law. It's been recommended that with the passage of the Voting Protection under the law Function of 1965, America experienced finally overcame its unpleasant recent of racism and discrimination. Once we entered in to the new millennium, the writer pondered if America experienced really set aside its biases and discriminatory procedures. The author interviewed eight people as he developed the foundations for this book. One of the people he was honored to interview was Brian Swann, the sibling of famous footballer Lynn Swann. Brian shared his story of your racially motivated encounter that he and his brother's had experienced in the 1970's in San Francisco, California, at the hands of the San Francisco Police Department. Each one of the eight people interviewed for this book helped bring with them a new experience and viewpoint as it relates to discrimination and racism in America, plus more specifically, white man privilege in America. The author helped bring these eight individual viewpoints along, and informed their tale as they relate to American background, from the first days and nights of colonization through present.
