Attracting on 75 many years of Gallup studies and his own point of view as the business's chairman and CEO, Jim Clifton explains why jobs are the new global currency for leaders. A lot more than calmness or money or any other good, the business enterprise, government, military, city, and village leaders who can create good careers will own the near future. The web that leaders don't know how to generate jobs, especially in the us. What they must do is know that the world is within a conflict for jobs. It seems that management has lost the will to gain, especially in the us, but this is a competition for our lives. To win, market leaders need to compete. Everyone does. The public school system needs to inculcate kids with the knowledge they'll need to compete in the careers war. The business community needs to double the emotional engagement of workers so that it can compete with cheaper labor. The health care system must stop throwing away the resources that people need to spend on job competition. World needs to realize that entrepreneurs, not federal, are the source of new careers and put all its energy behind them. Perhaps most importantly, leaders need to identify colleges, mentors, and especially places as a supercollider for job creation. If that can be done - and it could be done, leaders did it before - new good careers will direct result. There's not second to squander: the conflict has already begun.
