Whereas Horselords talks about the storyplot from the point of view of Koja and the Tuigan, and Dragonwall talks about the continuation of the same account from the point of view of Basic Batu and the Shou Lung, Crusade is written from King Azoun's and subsequently the West's perspective. In addition, there are two parallel reviews operating: the king's relationships with Alusair, his estranged child, and the activities of John Razor, a fletcher from Suzail, as he participates the Crusade.
