This is an easy listen, but one which never lags. Richard grows in this different portrayal of any humane man in an inhumane time, person who must confront challenging alternatives that threaten to rend his world apart, and contend with the own darkness in his own character. In addition, it paves just how for the third and final book in the trilogy.
