What is the Michel Thomas Method? The Michel Thomas Method instructs everyday conversational dialect that will help you to communicate in a multitude of situations, empowered by the ability to create your own sentences and use the dialect instinctively, having ingested the vocabulary and grammatical structures. These all-audio training were perfected over 25 years by gifted linguist and educator Michel Thomas, and provide an accelerated method for dialect learning that is truly revolutionary. Lessons 1-8, the Novice course: This course makes no assumption of knowledge of any language apart from English and provides the beginner useful and practical use of the spoken dialect. Additionally it is appropriate for anyone who has studied Greek before, but has ignored a lot of it or doesn't have self-confidence in speaking. The Novice course is designed to take you from complete rookie to intermediate level. Lessons 9-12, the Intermediate course: This course is for those with an intermediate-level base in Greek, or those who have completed lessons 1-8 and want to take their learning to an advanced level and speak Greek proficiently and easily. How does it work? Unlike most dialect courses that target around issues or grammar varieties, the Michel Thomas Method functions by breaking a dialect down into its component parts, enabling you to reconstruct the dialect yourself - to form your own sentences, to say what you want, when you want. Inside the first ten minutes of the course, you'll be generating complete sentences by yourself. It is important that you complete the lessons to be able. The Method is successful because it creates on the dialect you learn in each lesson and "recycles" language trained in previous lessons, allowing you to build ever-more complicated sentences. As the Method is based on understanding, not memorisation, there is absolutely no set in place limit to the length of time that you should review each lesson. Once you feel you have a good grasp of the dialect taught in one lesson, you can move to the next. In lesson 4 of the Greek Novice course, you can ask when things happen, use "double negatives" and understand about expression order in questions with...

  • Adjectives: "start", "closed", "good"
  • Nouns: "taverna", "cinema", "book", "paper", "magazine", "tv", "theatre"
  • Question expression: "when?"
  • Noun: "day"
  • Social communication: "good morning" (= "good day")
  • Adverbs: "today", "every day", "always", "often", "never", "late"
  • Determiner: "every"
  • Verbs: "I drink", "I eat", "I read", "I see/watch", "I arrive"
  • Preposition: "on"
  • Word order in questions and reported questions: "When the taverna will be open?"; "I don't know where is the supermarket"
  • "double negatives": "I really do not never..."
Within the next lesson you can use the "we" form of the verb and learn the concluding for masculine adjectives.
