"SphinxLand" My home was a tiny town that was bounded by the famous Crooked Forest in American Poland. The forest contains about 400 pine trees and shrubs that develop with a 90 degree bend at the base of the trunks. I had been carrying wood after i heard my mommy getting in touch with me. "I am cooking a couple of pies and I ran out of berries. Can you please opt for some for me?" "Okay, Mother, I'll bring as much berries as I could hold in my bag." I had been walking as fast as I possibly could another before dark when I saw a big wall forming before me. I recognized the woods perfectly and I definitely didn't notice that wall before. AFTER I reached the wall I saw an old man position by a double wood door. He opened it and I could have a peek at some amazing inhabitants. I am a fourteen-year old Polish woman with an incredible story to inform. "Nereid of the Forest" I am 'Eunice' girl of 1 of 'Nereus' and 'Doris' fifty Nereid daughters called 'Galatea'. She never disclosed who my dad was to anyone. My mother, her sisters and offspring are known as Nereid's or 'Sea Nymphs'. Many of them live in the sea but, some like my mother and some others thought we would live in the forest. Every fifty years my Nereid family has to sacrifice a princess to "Lamia' the kid eating demon. However, the princess has to be nineteen-years old during her sacrifice. No-one understands why Lamia wishes a teenager if she only eats small kids. What sort of princess is chosen is by electing the lady who is going to be the right get older one or two months before the first day of winter. My family made such unpleasant pact with Lamia many decades ago to stop her from eating their children. When time comes for the sacrifice, the chosen Nereid is taken in the cave called 'Hells Mouth'!
