She sets off over the city, now slowly and gradually being bought out by an unknown alien lifeform, to her now deserted family home in Western Wales. With all expectation fading of finding other people alive, she accumulates a radio transmitting coming from a nearby plantation, and sets off to find if the individual in charge of the transmission continues to be alive. Miraculously the plantation owner, John, has also survived the secret event and he has been picking up radio transmissions from several researchers in Nevada, USA. With nowhere to travel, and the alien menace final in on the plantation, Amber and John flee to the seacoast, with the purpose of getting into a voyage over the Atlantic to the west seacoast of America in the expectation of locating the only other known survivors. The only real mode of transport open to them however is a huge oil tanker, The Nostrum, that was along the way of leaving port to provide its cargo of crude oil, when the cataclysm struck. Amber and John manage to mother board the tanker, nonetheless they soon discover however they are not travelling together, and the relatively impossible voyage quickly becomes a voyage from hell, which has virtually no chance of succeeding.... This is actually the second booklet in the Vaporized series.
