Alfred Coppel served as a fighter pilot in america Army Air Forces during World War II. After his release, he started out his job as a copy writer. He became one of the very most prolific pulp writers of the 1950s and 1960s, using pseudonyms that included Robert Cham Gilman and A.C. Marin. He had written for variety many pulp journals and later "slick" web publishers.
