In the seaside town of San Benedetto, sports (or calcio) is more than only a sport: it's an obsession. Twenty-two-year-old Etto, however, couldn't worry less about sports. His twin brother Luca, a rising soccer star, passed on tragically in a motorbike incident, and their mom, unable to handle her grief, drowned herself on the anniversary of Luca's loss of life. But Yuri Fil, a Ukrainian sports star, takes refuge from the paparazzi in a close by villa, and Etto accidentally comes into Yuri's orbit - and this of Yuri's beautiful and troublesome sister, Zhuki. Under their affect, he begins to discover that the overall game of soccer may not be a total waste materials of time and this life may have more to offer him than he'd have ever thought possible.
