Excerpt from Blood in the Pavements: The entire world is smaller than it used to be. We all live closer collectively, brushing elbows more regularly, getting on each other's nerves, creating confrontation to occur increasingly more. It is inescapable. If the pool gets crowded, people bump elbows. Sometimes I question what is becoming of America. AFTER I was raised, we didn't even lock our doors at night. Only a fool would do this now. I think that the breakdown of society was caused by a combination of many things. Our individuals are no more healthy and intact. Blood, murder and violence on television set has desensitized us to killing generally. The proliferation of online pornography has educated us that girls aren't people, but merely objects to be used for our very own pleasure. The criminal justice system is becoming largely impotent and ineffective, allowing people to commit murder, almost with impunity. And last, however, not least, moral relativism has permeated our world, telling us that there surely is no right and wrong, no good or bad, that every person must make a decision what's right in his own brain. (Certainly, in your brain of any paranoid schizophrenic, the right thing to do is to get rid of your brother with a knife.) God, the ultimate power on right and wrong, has been systematically removed from our colleges, the courts, and from the legislative process. As always, cause and effect reign supreme. Without God, there is no accountability and no ultimate punishment after death. The deterrence that once organised the wolves away has been removed and it's really Katie bar the entranceway . Things aren't right with America or the world, and that s why I bring a gun; that is why I train; that is why I train others. The post-nine-eleven world of our favorite country differs than the land of our own fathers. Sometimes it seems like the world has truly gone crazy. How shall we then live? How shall we then endure?
