I've found poetry to be always a wonderfully spiritual way for me to commune with God, and it concerns not whether I am writing the poems, or simply reading them; a peaceful serenity comes over me during those times that is clearly a great comfort to my heart and soul. I began my writings more than thirty years back during a amount of time in my life whenever i was unable to sleep well at night due to a painful back. As a consequence, throughout the night, I would have to get up to apply a heat pad to get comfort. It was during this time period in my life which i began to learn the Bible which consequently led me to begin writing poetry. I've found the Holy Bible to be most effective in inspiring ideas and have also been migrated to write a few of my poems just by the view of a lovely sunrise or sunset, a pile view. Or simply just a word, a term or a world will pop into my mind sometimes while I'm performing exercises. Many ideas have come to me in my sleep and at those times I am compelled to get right up and go to my computer or even to get a pencil and paper to jot the idea down before it is overlooked. It is my sincere desire that you will enjoy the reading of these poems and I pray you will be blessed by them. In His Service, John A. McKee
