In this modern-day Hunt for Red October, an armed nuclear submarine is bought out and must be hunted down before its weapons are launched. The USS Kentucky - a Trident ballistic missile submarine carrying a full complement of 192 nuclear warheads - places out on a routine luxury cruise. Not long after it extends to the wide open sea, however, the Kentucky receives a release order. After obtaining that release order, it is take off from all counter-top requests and disappears into the Pacific while it makes the eight-day transit to the release site. The actual Kentucky's team doesn't know is the fact that those launch requests didn't result from the US government. Rogue elements within the Mossad have discovered that Iran has developed its first nuclear tool and, in ten days, will detonate it - and the prospective is Israel. The suspected tool complex is too far underground for conventional weapons to damage it, and the only option is a preemptive nuclear punch. With limited time, this rogue group initiates a long-planned procedure called the Trident Deception: They'll transfer false requests and use a US nuclear submarine to launch the attack. With only eight days prior to the Kentucky is release range and with the submarine take off from any outside the house communication, one senior officer, the father of 1 of the officers aboard the submarine, must put together and lead a team of assault submarines to find, intercept, and neutralize the Kentucky before it can unknowingly unleash a damaging nuclear attack.
