Since Dr. Moorehead acquired no feminine companionship his hatred towards women grew as the days acquired lonelier and lonelier. Each and every time the doctor's eye gazed upon a beautiful woman it would send him in a trend that was scarcely containable, and all he thought of was getting his hands around her gentle pretty neck of the guitar, and choke the life out of her, but he understood if he acted upon it in extensive daylight he would be found, and hung for it.
