Rousseau puts forth the concept of two types of inequity: natural/physical and moral/political. He targets moral inequality and its own link to ability and wealth. He also addresses the areas of self-love, compassion for others, and free-agency, as well as their negative impact in the creation of civil culture. Partly two of the discourse, Rousseau uses the development of such attributes in mankind from savage man to the present day man. He was also an attained composer, renowned for his operas and efforts to musical theory. Following his loss of life, he was interred as a nationwide hero in Paris' Pantheon.
