Over 50 original free verse poems, dating from the first 90s.Evaluating the precise or changing so this means of the Constitution of the United States is not my objective in this work. Celebrating the folks who honor interpreting, enforcing, and modifying that so this means, within the Guideline of Law, though, is very much my intent. For all those reasons, and another, Upholding the Constitution as a name, fit these types of poems much better than simply saying poems for "Legal" or "Firefighters" or "POLICE." My "other" reason is something very re-soundly put to myself and the others beside me in boot camp in the Air Force in San Antonio way back in the 70s : That we, performing as the military, existed not to defend any one individual, but to guard the constitution. Our group and the drill trainer talked about this with quite a bit of energy and the outcome is most of us, including myself, kept that session sense especially good about our quest in the military. Thus, I especially believe that applying this name to this collection of poems, celebrating the best of our general public law, service, military, and enforcement positions, is an excellent way to also honor the folks in those opportunities.
