Download Homer's Odyssey: A Storyteller's Version AudioBook Free
We commence with Book V, Odysseus weeping on Calyspo's Island, and follow his escapades to his go back to Ithaca and Penelope. This version of Homer's Odyssey was made over the 14-year period of performing the fantastic epic. When it came time to track record this version for audiobook, I recognized there is no word: It resided in memory. So I had to write out a 38-page poem from recollection. I QUICKLY used that word as a performance script even though reading it found myself constantly editing as my spoken expression insisted on changes that sharpened the audio. The result is this word of the telling. Those who know the story well may question dialect and detail selections, moments of invention; but we were holding all dictated in performance. My expectation is that this short storytellers' version will need audiences back to a new love and take pleasure in the original.
