This book is about living and working in a mobile army surgical clinic (MASH) in South Vietnam. It talks about a healthcare facility itself, the environment, how we lived, how exactly we coped with less-than-good circumstances, the sort of patients we received, the gear we worked with and the mental highs and lows which were part of every day. The experiences are true. Some of the dates and numbers of things may be off just a little; that was a long time ago. Names have not been used to safeguard the wonderful, dedicated people who have whom I performed and lived with.
