On March 13, 1971, LT Bart Creed, USN launched from the deck of the USS Ranger in support of Operation Lam Boy 719, the ill-fated invasion of Laos by ARVN causes. Shot down while strafing an foe pickup truck on the Ho Chi Minh Path, LT Creed lay down injured and encircled by enemy causes. Despite heroic efforts to save him, the 25 year-old man, and dad of two small children was never retrieved. Even today, his fate remains a unknown.
